Our Mission
Our mission is to create thought provoking, motivating videos that will enhance worship. We strive to use this creative medium to communicate relevant scriptural concepts in order to support the efforts of pastors, worship planners and leaders. We work to be a video resource for churches who are spreading the Good New of Jesus Christ.
Goals
Our goal is to produce high quality videos in a wide variety of topics and provide them to churches throughout the world at a very reasonable cost. We will continue to expand our catalog of videos to provide as many options and opportunities to pastors to communicate the message of Jesus Christ.
Our Beliefs
WE BELIEVE there is one God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the Creator of all that is, unlimited in His power, holiness and love. Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19
WE BELIEVE all humanity, though created in the image of God and of infinite worth to Him, is so affected by sin that every part of one’s life is marred by it, and therefore no person can by himself or herself be saved from God’s punishment for sin, which is hell. Genesis 1:27; Romans 7:5; Romans 3:23
WE BELIEVE Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, whose substitutionary death on the cross was for the sins of humanity and makes possible the offer of forgiveness and salvation to all who believe in Him, seek His forgiveness, and live under His Lordship. Romans 8:1-4; Romans 8:32-34
WE BELIEVE the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and that it teaches us without error what we should believe and how we should live. II Timothy 3:16-17
WE BELIEVE the Church everywhere in the world is the Body of Christ, commissioned to bring the love and salvation of God to the world. Acts 1:8; II Corinthians 5:18-20
WE BELIEVE Jesus Christ is coming again to earth to judge the world, destroy the works of Satan, and take Christ’s followers to heaven, their eternal home. I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:10; John 14:3
When people ask us what we believe, one short answer that we often give is that we believe the Biblical truths included in the historic Apostles Creed.
I believe in God the Father, Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth
And in Jesus Christ, his only begotten Son, our Lord
Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary
Suffered under Pontius Pilate; was crucified, dead and buried: He descended into hell
The third day he rose again from the dead
He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty
From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead
I believe in the Holy Ghost
I believe in the holy Christian church: the communion of saints
The forgiveness of sins
The resurrection of the body

Who We Are
Poppen Productions is the mission of Tim Poppen. Tim spend nearly 20 years in front of the camera producing and hosting a children’s television program. Some of these programs were syndicated in 17 states. Durning much of this time he was also active as a creative director for an advertising agency and worked on many national and regional accounts.
Tim felt God did not give him all this training in video creation and production to simply sell more consumer products, but it is something that he can use to share the message of Jesus Christ and glorify God. Now he works behind the camera and has been producing videos for many churches throughout the country. Most of these videos have been church-specific in nature and are not applicable to share with other churches.
In 2005 he began producing custom videos for Sunnybrook Community Church, in Sioux City, Iowa. These were mostly testimonials and special projects. In 2014 he took over producing all the video content for the church. This includes sermon bumpers, illustrations, backgrounds, testimonials and triple-wide environmental projection backgrounds. In 2015, Sunnybrook was honored to be included in Outreach Magazines Top 100 Fastest Growing Churches list.
After producing many bumpers, worship intros and sermon illustrations, Tim was encouraged use his talents and share some videos on other websites that would market them to churches. Since most of the Sunnybrook production is specific to the church, he decided to create new videos that could be used by others. Some of these were quite successful including some of the top selling videos on Sermon Spice.
In 2017 Poppenproductions.com was launched to be able to offer these videos to anyone who would want them and at prices that are affordable to any church. Since this is a new project, the catalog is relatively small but is constantly growing. If a church can save a few dollars and get a high-quality video that’s relevant to the pastor’s message, then it’s worth it.
